Citebase Search is a semi-autonomous citation index for the free, online research literature. It harvests pre- and post- prints (most author self-archived) from OAI-PMH compliant archives, parses and links their references and indexes the metadata in a search engine.

Citebase contains articles from physics, maths, information science, and (published only) biomedical papers.

AMG started out in 1991 in Big Rapids, MI. Our original mission was to create books to help consumers find the "best" music. But, as our databases grew, we saw they could be powerful tools for online retailers and entertainment destinations. We started licensing the All Music Guide in 1993. In 1994, we added the All Movie Guide. Our award-winning websites started in 1995 and helped us find even more licensing customers. In 1998 we created the All Game Guide to address that growing market. In order to accommodate the growth of our business, we moved to Ann Arbor, MI in 1999. Since then, our staff has tripled in size.

What exactly does AMG do?

AMG licenses our entertainment content databases and technologies to a number of clients. We also maintain our websites, continue to produce new editions of our successful music guide series with Backbeat Books, and, in conjunction with Medalist Entertainment, we recently released the first group of CDs enhanced by our content.

About Our Roots

Originally known as All Music Guide, AMG was founded in 1991 to help consumers navigate the increasingly complex world of recorded music and discover the very best recordings. It was an ambitious, even overwhelming mission that would only be attempted by true music lovers like us. But we were determined, and the following year we published the first of our All Music Guide reference books.

By 1993, we’d expanded our content to include movies and video games, and we began licensing to retailers, online content sites and other companies in entertainment media. Licensing remains the core of our business today, and our licensees include some of the world’s most recognized brands, including Microsoft, AOL, Yahoo!, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Ticketmaster, Musicmatch and Napster.

The Medpedia Project is a long-term, worldwide project to evolve a new model for sharing and advancing knowledge about health, medicine and the body among medical professionals and the general public. This model is founded on providing a free online technology platform that is collaborative, interdisciplinary and transparent. Read more about the model.

Users of the platform include physicians, consumers, medical and scientific journals, medical schools, research institutes, medical associations, hospitals, for-profit and non-profit organizations, expert patients, policy makers, students, non-professionals taking care of loved ones, individual medical professionals, scientists, etc.
